Coming from Waipara, but could come some way into Christchurch if you can put in for petrol.
I'm going to stay in Methven and go up in Wednesday also.

Our access road is open Mon to Thurs 9-4pm. Outside these hours our upper gate will be locked from Rakaia Saddle. Our road is not controlled and drivers do so at their own risk.
