Hi there,

I am going to Mt Hutt this Saturday for snowboarding (weather dependent). I am 36 and driven there quite a few times before. My car is a 4WD RAV4 with chains on board for additional safety. I have snowboard/ski rack mounted on my car roof with a total of 4 spaces.

I will leave Christchurch very early in the morning (around 5:30am) and return early afternoon (around 2:30pm). Share ride fee is $25 per person; call me on my cellphone 021505393 if you are interested so we can plan.

Our access road is open Mon to Thurs 9-4pm. Outside these hours our upper gate will be locked from Rakaia Saddle. Our road is not controlled and drivers do so at their own risk.
