Information
Porters is open with all lifts spinning, and it’s shaping up to be an amazing day with clearing skies, sunshine later on this morning, light winds and great on trail conditions. At 7am, we have patchy high cloud, a bit of cloud rolling through the lower mountain, light winds in the base area and a bit breezier at ridge line. The current temperature is minus 1. Our grooming team have been hard at work all night, and put down fresh cord all the way through Sundance from the ridge to the bottom of T3. McNulty’s, Stellar, Easy Street and the Platter area have all been groomed nice and wide. There are some great pockets of wind blown snow off trail, but if you do go searching, please be careful of unmarked hazards. The access road this morning is chain free. We recommend in winter that all vehicles carry chains. Our shuttle service will be running return trips throughout the day, picking up at Chain Bay 2 (and the lodge on request) at 9:30am and 10:30am. Return shuttles will be available all afternoon. If you’re looking for a lesson, pop into our ticket office and book a spot with one of our instructors – we have options for all ages and abilities. Kids 10 and under ski for free at Porters. Porters Lodge Restaurant and Bar, just 6km up our access road, will be open for coffee from 9am, and meals from 11am. Pop in for Apres after enjoying a day on our slopes. Snowplay is open today.
