Our road is in an alpine environment which can change quickly. Drivers should carry chains and know how and when to fit them - and when to turn back (please see our chain-fitting video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9rKZ_86A4I&t=1s). If you are coming up for a visit or a walk please park in Carpark 1.
Weather Comment
Kia ora - the snowmaking team has been working hard and we are making progress. We are going to update on Thursday afternoon, with a view to opening the Learner's Area on Saturday. We have a 24hr piece of weather Wed-Thurs that will hopefully be favourable for both snowmaking and some natural snow and our update will be after that. Rest assured we are doing everything we can to get open. We're keen to get winter underway and to have everyone up here to share the mountain with us - fingers crossed! For guests with lessons or ski bus transport booked over the next three days, the good news is that you're welcome to reschedule your group or private lesson/s and/or Queenstown Ski Bus reservation to Coronet Peak or another date, based on availability. NB if you're travelling on the Queenstown Ski Bus please rebook onto the 7.30am or 8am departure so you're on snow and at the Group Lesson meeting area by 9.45am. To reschedule, start with your Ski Bus and then your lesson/s: Log in to your online account and head to your Profile Page Select "Overview", then "Order History" Select the Order Reference number for the booking you'd like to update Select the calendar icon, then "Reschedule" and follow the prompts to choose a new date or location Repeat for each booking you need to update. Your lift passes and any booked rentals stay valid any time this season, nothing further needed there.
