Porters is open today with the chair, platter and magic carpet lifts spinning. It’s looking like we have a great day of weather ahead on our lower mountain, with sun and light winds in the forecast, and a top up of 5cm of new snow overnight. At 5:45am, we have clear skies and a light breeze in the base area. The temperature is currently minus 5 degrees. It’s likely to stay chilly today, so dress warm. We have seen a lot of rain over the last few days, and therefore will not be opening the T bars today. Easy Street and the Platter area have been groomed wide, and will have some fun conditions with fresh snow today. Season passes for 2026 are now on sale at super earlybird prices. Buy now and also use your pass to ski the remainder of the 2025 season on us. Passes can be purchased with 10 easy monthly payments. On top of all that, we are stoked to introduce our new family pass – click on the “shop now” button up on the top right corner to find out more and purchase. If you’re looking for a lesson, pop into our ticket office and book a spot with one of our instructors – we have options for all ages and abilities. Kids 10 and under ski for free at Porters. The access road this morning requires chains on 2wd from chain bay 3 at Longspur. We recommend that all vehicles carry chains in winter. We will update this report later today as we expect the chain requirement to change. Our shuttle service will be running return trips throughout the day, picking up at Chain Bay 2 (and the lodge on request) at 9:30am and 10:30am. Return shuttles will be available all afternoon. Porters Lodge Restaurant and Bar, just 6km up our access road, will be open for coffee from 9am, and meals from 11am. Pop in for a bite to eat after your day on the mountain, the food will impress.
