Our Summer Road is open for day guests, overnight guests are welcome to drop gear off up top and park at the container. No chains required today. Radio up from Bottom Hut requesting "Road Cone" for the latest road conditions. Radio again from the container if you are wanting to drive up our summer road plus remember to grab a tow belt. Please be aware and respectful of farm traffic through Glenthorne Station.
Weather Comment
Cold temperatures from the recent storm are expected to slowly retreat, with daytime temperatures reaching near 6°C at 1800m. Northwest winds will be light, averaging near 10 km/h. Sky cover will be mostly sunny. There is no chance for precipitation today.
Information
Thursday, September 24th - OPEN. Tows spinning from 10am. With temperatures staying cold overnight, the recent pulse of snow has remained light and dry, and largely untracked. Look for the temperatures to climb, providing for corn-like skiing conditions by this afternoon. Come for a ski, bask in the sun, grab a coffee, and don't forget to book for our legendary lunch. The road is clear, and conditions are good all the way to the car park at the top of the summer road. Please give us a radio call at the bottom hut and then the container, so our team can safely direct you to your parking destination.
