** Mōrena from Whakapapa. **It's a slightly cloudy morning with some breezy conditions up high. Unfortunately, the wind is expected to stick around today, meaning the Sky Waka Gondola will remain closed.Down in the base area, conditions are much more welcoming, and we're looking forward to making the most of the day. Snowland will be open from 9am, with Retail and Lorenz's Bar and Café opening from 8:30am. Happy Valley Rentals for clothing hire will open from 9am.This weekend is ** Locals Weekend **, and we'd love to see our local community make the most of the special locals-only pricing on offer.
