Headed down to Queenstown on either August 8th or 9th if anyone needs a ride ...comfy 4wd with roof racks and chains .... Depending on snow keen to stop for maybe a half day at Ohau or Dobson on way down ... stop at fairlie bakehouse a must ... Share petrol costs with 2 others. Room for 1 or 2 people.

We have a chain restriction on 2WD from chain bay 2 to start the day and we are using Chain Bay 3 for 4WD. We expect we will be able to start moving this up the hill as the snow showers pass. Please listen to the roads crew as they are there to help you arrive up the mountain safely.

Weather Comment

Starting the day with cloud and limited visibility. This should start breaking up in the afternoon and reveal the mountain in time for Night ski.

Mōrena,We have had a dusting of new snow on the grooming this morning. Expect a few more cm's this morning before it starts clearing out. This plus the snowguns should make for some nice skiing and riding.Grab yourself a first tracks pass to score the goods an hour before the crowds.Ski Area Boundary signs have been placed above runs that are ungroomed - enter these areas at your own risk, multiple unmarked hazards exist.Coronet Express is open for skiing and riding along with Meadows Express, Magic, Beginner and Kidszone carpets for skiing and riding. There is fantastic learner progression terrain so get on out and enjoy.Please note: Rental equipment availability is currently very limited across our rental locations on mountain and in town. If possible, we recommend arranging your equipment hire with an alternative rental provider before travelling to the mountain. Also please make sure you are allowing enough time to arrive before your lessons.
