Starting from Dallington/ near The Palms heading across or around the city (ring road) with pickups at any shopping parking area, petrol station, bus stop, residential address etc more or less on the way anywhere in the central or western suburbs. Pickups typically around the 6:35 to 7:10am timeframe depending on where passengers are, coordinated for an ETA at skifield of 8:15 am.

Leaving skifield 3pm due to a commitment in Christchurch. 
Well maintained silver coloured Subaru Outback AWD with black Thule roof box,  chains and experienced, defensive driver. $15 pp.

Please respond strictly through the Snowpool web site and no later than 630pm the evening prior with your name, cell ph number and preferred pickup location.   I will advise pickup time once car is full and in any case no later than ~7pm the evening prior.

Porters is closed today. The next two days have the full range of Canterbury spring weather forecasted - kicking off with rain and winds of up to 200km/h today, followed by more wind and some snow tomorrow. Because it's going to be too windy to groom our slopes or run our lifts, and we don't want to replace the windscreens on our really nice Mitsubishi Tritons (thanks Morrison Mitsubishi) due to airborne rocks, we are going to stay off the mountain today and tomorrow, get some much needed wax on our skis and snowboards, have a well deserved sleep in, and hopefully be back at it on Friday to enjoy some fresh snow with our lucky guests! Please check back for an update at 6am Friday. If you need to contact guest services while we are closed, please email office@skiporters.co.nz Porters Lodge Restaurant and Bar will be closed today but open tomorrow. Season passes for 2026 are now on sale at super earlybird prices. Buy now and also use your pass to ski the remainder of the 2025 season on us. Passes can be purchased with 10 easy monthly payments.
