The upper half of the road is unsafe today due to strong wind gusts and drifting snow and gate is closed/locked just above Scott's Saddle.

Cloudy, with snow developing late in the afternoon. Northwesterlies.
Information
Unfortunately Mt Hutt is closed today due to gale force northwesterly winds. At 6am we are receiving regular wind gusts over 150km/h at the summit and the wind is forecast to increase further towards midday before easing back late this afternoon.We will assess conditions again at 6am tomorrow morning.
