Hi,
Leaving Christchurch around 6am, depends on people. Can pick you up if you live close to route: Brougham St, Yaldhurst Rd/Rolleston. Back around 3.45-4pm from Mt Hutt. 4wd, chains, roof racks. Driving to Mt Hutt every weekend.

Self-fit chain hire is available from Chain Bay 1. Drivers of vehicles who breach our chain call and invariably require assistance from our road patrol team will be charged a $800 fee. All other vehicles must carry chains as road surface conditions can change quickly due to traffic volumes and/or weather conditions. If you see a line of traffic forming behind you, please pull to the side to allow faster vehicles past. Speed limit on the access road is 40km/h – maintain 2-way access at all time.

Good morning!It’s shaping up to be another fantastic day here at Mt Hutt. We’re enjoying bluebird skies with just a few high clouds, clear views in every direction, and almost all zones open across the mountain. There’s a light southerly breeze over the summit, while conditions remain calm around the base area. Get up here and make the most of it!It will be another fresh start today so don’t forget the face buff and warm layers. The grooming team has had stellar conditions overnight so take advantage of the groomed runs to start before venturing off trail. Please read and respect all signage and check the Snow Report for the latest info. We look forward to seeing you soon!
