Road info
Our access road is open through to Zed Creek car park where you'll reach a locked gate (approx. 11km up). Our main car parks and base lodge facilities are currently a construction zone and will not be accessible by road (with the exception of construction workers) until May 2027. If you wish to use our road to access the back country, please park at Zed Creek and hike up and along the ridge above Rakaia Saddle. Note: the Bluffs (between Rakaia Saddle and the Ski Area) is a no-walking zone due to the rock fall hazard. When using the Mt Hutt access road, please drive with care, observe the 40km/h speed limit and maintain 2-way access.
