Information

Broken River is OPEN for the season, Friday the 10th of July!!! It's going to be a great, fun weekend at BR but if you are planning on coming up it's important to know that only the main basin will be open. Terrain openings are limited, but it's going to be an awesome time to open up the season with your mates at BR! Access, Rugby, and Main Tow will be open. The Ridge Tow, Nervous Knob, and Alan's Basin are closed for Friday. Terrain closures are strictly enforced. Palmer Lodge lunch will also be limited. We may have some pizza-making going, but don't count on it. Bring food in case. It will be busy so it won't be an ideal time to learn how to ride our tows. We recommend trying to come during the week if you are a first-time tow rider when the staff have time to help you learn. In the last week we have had about 50 to 60 cm of new snow. This is also our base as there was no snow before. Ski and ride with care. The snowpack is still thin and there are lots of things to hit causing damage to your gear or body. With that said, the ski conditions are pretty good! The storm came in warm making for a supportable base. We then got 10 to 15 cm of colder, new snow on Wednesday night. You'll find nice shallow powder with firmer conditions near the ridge.
