OPEN today! Winter is back with cold temperatures and 5 cm of new snow. The new snow came in without any wind! Come on up as these days of cold, fresh snow are numbered. Lodging is available for Friday night. Check out your options on our website and book your accomdation by emailing bookings@brokenriver.co.nz. Some details and updates as of 10:30 am on Friday: - Main Tow running at 9 am as scheduled - Ridge Tow open - Access Tow open for very experienced users only. Absoulutely no beginners. Beginners must hike to Palmer Lodge - Tram hours are 8:30 am to 10: 30 am and 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm Join us on Saturday, 20 September, for the Barrys Bay Cheese Roll. Fun for spectators and participants! Registration at Palmer Lodge on the day of the event. Proceeds go to restoration plantings after the devasting Craigieburn Fire in December 2024.
