Road info

Now parking all vehicles at Rakaia. Chains carried. Carpool priority parking is in effect today - this is how it works: Our access road opens at 6:35am. Head up to Car Park 3 (Rakaia Saddle) and select the lane based on your vehicle occupancy. Full vehicles (2-door = 2+ people, 4-door = 4+ people) take the right lane and slow down to allow our staff to verify occupancy. Then continue up to our Base Area car parks (subject to available spaces). Other vehicles select the left lane into Car Park 3 to either park and catch our free shuttle or optionally fill your vehicle with other guests and continue up to the Base Area car parks. At the end of the day, we will prioritise the shuttling of drivers of cars parked in the lower car parks to reduce wait times. If you see a line of traffic forming behind you, please pull to the side to allow faster vehicles past. Speed limit on the access road is 40km/h – maintain 2-way access at all time.
