Porters Snow Report

Porters is open, and it’s looking like it will be the best day of the school holidays so far, with a forecast for sun, light winds, and mild temperatures. Our snowmakers did a great job refreshing Easy Street and the Platter last night, these have been groomed to perfection, and with soft forgiving snow, our slopes will be a lot of fun today. We will have the chair, platter lift, and magic carpet operational today. At 5:45 am it is 0 degrees in the base area with a light breeze, and this is expected to continue for the day. The ski area will have all facilities open today. Book a lesson with one of our awesome instructors - with expected low crowds, it will be a great time to learn to ski or brush up on your technique, in preparation for the full mountain opening. Our shuttle will be running from chain bay 2 at 9:15, with return trips throughout the day. Porters Lodge Restaurant and Bar, just 6km up our access road, will be open for coffee from 9am, and with an amazing new menu from 11am. Pop in for apres after a fun day on the slopes. Snow play at Porters Lodge will be closed until further notice – there is not enough snow currently. If the kids want to get on the snow, come and see us up on the mountain and get them booked into a lesson – we have options to cater for all ages and skill levels, and kids 10 and under ski for free at Porters. Our access road is chain free today, our parking is hassle free, and the vibe as always is friendly and fun!
