Weather Comment

A warm and windy northwest storm today. Cooling off Wednesday night. Check out the BR weather station for live info: https://irrigation.niwa.co.nz/BRSC/met_summary.html Take a look through our window via our webcams: https://www.brokenriver.co.nz/about-br/mountain/snow-report-and-webcam/

Information

We are CLOSED on Thursday. We'll need a day to assess the rain damage and the snowpack. At first light, the Rugby tow line looks good, so that means we will be open on Friday. 5 to 10 cm is forecast for Thursday night, so Friday could be a nice powder day up here. You'll want to secure your accommodation for Thursday night to be first up the hill on Friday. Check out your options on our website and book your accomodation by emailing bookings@brokenriver.co.nz Tram hours are 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm for arriving guests on Thursday. Join us on Saturday, 20 September, for the Barrys Bay Cheese Roll. Fun for spectators and participants! Registration at Palmer Lodge on the day of the event. Proceeds go to restoration plantings after the devasting Craigieburn Fire in December 2024.
