Friday update. A huge shout out to everybody who put the effort in with the snow dances. It’s looking like it might have worked!! We have what could be a significant winter storm forecast to start on Sunday afternoon. As always it’s hard to pick snow totals or duration, so check back for updates daily. We are all excited about this one, and are ready and waiting to get the ski area, lodge and snowplay open as soon as we can, once the storm has cleared. Porters Lodge Restaurant and Bar will be open Saturday and will be closed on Sunday. The ski area will not be open this weekend. The weather is looking sporty from Sunday afternoon onwards. Beyond that it’s hard to call what will happen early next week at this stage. We will keep the updates coming, and as soon as we get a chance, we will get some pictures and videos to share. We are all frothing to get winter 2026 under way!! With the possibility of significant snow, we will be closing our access road at the state highway from Sunday afternoon. There will be no access permitted to the Lodge or ski area until the storm has cleared and we able to complete control work.
