Weather Comment

Good Morning – We're Open! As of 6:00am, a layer of low cloud is drifting into the base area, but it's forecast to lift by around 9:00am, revealing high scattered cloud for much of the day and light breezes. Overnight, our snowmaking team has been operating at full capacity and will continue production as conditions allow. Our grooming crew are freshly preparing all main trails, delivering premium corduroy that promises excellent conditions for first chair at 9am this morning. The best riding today will be on the groomed trails, as off-piste terrain remains firm. As temperatures rise throughout the day, we may see some softening in these areas, but the main trails will offer the most enjoyable experience. We’re also pleased to welcome back Mt Hutt College for their Wednesday ski programme this afternoon, great to have the crew back on the slopes. Don’t forget to cap off your morning laps with a relaxing soak in New Zealand’s highest-altitude spa pool, located at the summit. Please drive carefully, and we look forward to seeing you up here for another great day on the mountain.

Information

Our Alpine Spa is open today for the first time this season! Pack your togs and towel and head to the summit if you are game to be the first to take a dip in NZ's highest hot tub.
