Leaving from Yaldhurst at 7 am. : SH73 just past NPD Yaldhurst (Filly Place). 4WD, snow chains, big roof box. Regular 3 peak season ski pass holder with many years of experience on this road. $30 p/p. Returning at closing time or earlier if the weather deteriorates. If the morning weather report is concerning, I will contact the booking contacts before 6:30 am to discuss the trip.

Now parking at Rakaia Saddle. Chains only need to be carried today. Please watch for sun strike on north-facing sections of the road and drive to the conditions. If you see a line of traffic forming behind you, please pull to the side to allow faster vehicles past. Speed limit on the access road is 40km/h – maintain 2-way access at all time.
