The road has a sealed surface for the first 9km. The final 4km to the base area is unsealed.
Weather Comment
While we wait for winter, you are welcome to come up and enjoy sightseeing and hiking - including the wonderful walk to Lake Alta (Lake Alta Track: Remarkables Conservation Area, Otago region). Our scenic 13km access road has a $15 (credit/debit card) toll at the bottom. Please note that natural and man-made hazards exist, any snow is uncontrolled and there are no support services on the ski area or the road. Be prepared for alpine weather and travel - be safe out there and enjoy :). A big thanks again to everyone who joined us over winter 2024 - we loved sharing our beautiful mountain with you and we look forward to seeing you in winter 2025!
