Regular 3 peak season pass holder with many years of experience on this road and decades of driving experience in general. 4WD with snow chains, big roof box. $30 p/p at the time of boarding. Leaving from Yaldhurst 6:30: SH73 just past NPD Yaldhurst (Filly Place). Returning at closing time or earlier if the weather deteriorates. If the weather report is concerning, I will contact the booking contacts either the night before or on the day of the trip as soon as I made aware of the concern to discuss the options.

The access road is open above the top gate at Zed Creek carpark between 8am and 4pm Mon-Thurs. Out of season the road is unpatrolled and unmaintained. Please avoid driving beyond Canterbury View/Rocky in high winds or after new snow.

Mt Hutt has now closed for the season :( Thank you for making our winter 2024 one to remember :) We look forward to welcoming you back in 2025 - have a great summer and stay safe! Mt Hutt is no longer patrolled and avalanche control work has ceased - please treat as backcountry terrain.
