Weather Comment

At 6am this morning, we were greeted with crystal clear skies and uninterrupted views across Canterbury and into the atmosphere. Millions of stars lit the sky while our snowmaking guns are firing under ideal conditions, it truly doesn’t get any better for our slope teams. Overnight, freezing temperatures delivered one of the best snowmaking windows of the season. Our grooming team followed up with wide, beautifully laid corduroy across the main trails. With conditions like this, we’re aiming to open International Trail around midday. Snowmaking will remain focused on our lower trail access road to continue building our snowpack. Mid Station will be open from 9:00am, and we appreciate your understanding as we manage trail access based on snow production and grooming progress. Expect an outstanding day on the mountain, with the best skiing found on-trail. As the day progresses, surfaces may become firm and we strongly recommend helmet use. Midweek riding at its finest. See you on the slopes.

Information

Our Alpine Spa is open today! Pack your togs and towel and head to the summit if you are game to be the first to take a dip in NZ's highest hot tub.
