Information
Porters is open with all lifts running from 9am. We are expecting an absolute stunner today – one not to miss. At 5:45am we have clear skies and light winds at all elevations. The temperature is currently minus 5 degrees. The forecast is for sunshine, light winds, and warming temperatures all day. Our road is chain free. After plenty of natural snow over the last week, we have also been running our snowmaking system at full capacity overnight on our lower mountain trails. There will be some very good skiing and riding to be had today. We have groomed upper mountain intermediate trails through McNulty’s Basin and Stellar Bowl. McNulty’s will be the pick of the day with some fun wind drifts to be found. Easy Street and the beginners area have been groomed wide. There are icy patches off trail where the wind has stripped recent new snow. Porters Lodge Restaurant and Bar is closed for a private function today. Snowplay is closed today. Our road today is chain free. We recommend that all vehicles carry chains in winter, as conditions can change rapidly. Our free shuttle service will be doing return trips throughout the day, picking up at Chain Bay 2 (and the lodge on request) at 9:30am and 10:30am. Return shuttles will be available all afternoon.
